Ejecting ship weirdness

Earlier I undocked in an Orca to drop off some ships in space.

Figured out that you cannot board from the SMB, was unable to get back into the Orca after attempting to board a ship.

I docked/undocked and was able to get back into the Orca. When I did my pod was left behind. I docked back up and was confused that the of my ship was "None" in the inventory screen. When I left the Orca it disappeared and I wasn't even in my pod.

Was able to get back into a new ship. Was kinda odd :P

Now that's an interesting piece. We didn't tested ejecting the ships much yet, except for case when it gets blown to pieces :D
Thanks for heads-up! Gonna do a deeper testing of that on.

Well, it's not set up right :D
First off - i just ejected.
As you see, there's something wrong...where's the pod and navigation panel? 0_o

Then, i got in back. Ship has vanished.

===============================================================================

Even tho i had all the attributes as the ship had (previous test was with fitted mach - i got everything, including the guns. No ship model presented, tho.) - i was still a pod.
Docked, no ship were put in the hangar.

===============================================================================

Figures...if the ship vanished in space, how the hell is it going to be in the hangar? :D
Aight, fuck that, i created a rifter and undocked again.
Image

===============================================================================

Aaand my capsule was still there.
Alright then, i did it again. By second scenario this time.
Ejected.
Image

===============================================================================

Logged off, then logged back in.
Dat rifter was bound to me before i relogged (guess it was still considered me as it's owner, so it was marked green (as corp-mate item)). Now it turned white.
Image

===============================================================================

Well, fuck the ownership, let's see if i can get in right.
Image

===============================================================================

Nope. I'm stuck. No single object around, no movement available.
When i docked, i saw the same picture as at the first time - ship just vanished.

I think we could use the ejecting mechanics you made for ship explosion scenario. Like Ship gets blown -> generate wreck -> generate pod and move player into it.
In this case we just need that third part. Sounds easy enough, so i hope that packet part of this functionality is as easy as this.

Cheers!

wow. nice.
gotta love that kinda fuckup. LOL
ok, so seems like NO type of ship-changing in space is working.

yeah, i can do that. do you know if that code is working right? i havent tested it much (only 25x while writing it, and 1 or 2 after i was happy with it)

will put on lists for later.
cheers

Well, if you remember screenshots with my mach surrounded by the swarm of the rogue drones, they you will remember my pod floating around the mach wreck :D
So yeah, that thing works.

yeah, it sure was. ok, cool, so glad to know that part is working.
i'll put it on the list to do later....it's not that high right now, and it shouldnt take long.
when i get a min to mess with it, i'll fix it.
