EvEmu IRC and Client Information

hello all.
it was recently suggested that i have a post about how to connect to official EvEmu IRC. i will post other information here regarding official EvEmu as i get it.

Server: gork.levelbelow.net or irc.evemu.net
Port: 6667
Main Channel: evemu
Support Channel: evemu-support

main channel is your best bet for gaining assistance.
Patience is a virtue in our IRC, as this is a hobby, and other things will take precedence.
If you have a question, say hello and ask, but please wait for a response. this may take time for someone to notice it and reply. we dont hover in the channel waiting for someone to talk.

usually, there is no one in support channel, but i list it here as a reference.

**** CLIENT FILES AND HOW TO CONNECT ****
the client files are large, and as such, i cant host them on my network.
the current host can be found here --> http://192.228.108.100/~evemu/evemu/
from there, you will need the 3 files with "360229" in their name (the crucible build number)
the crucible patch can be found here --> http://eve.alasiya.net/misc/CrucBluePatcher.zip
install the game, then unzip patcher into your game directory and run it.

to set your client up to connect to a private server (mine or any other one)
  Code:
open the file named "common.ini" in the editor of your choice  ( i use EditPlus)
change the encryption line to read  "cryptoPack=Placebo"
save and close the file

open the file named "start.ini" in the editor of your choice
change the server line to the server of your choice.
to connect to my server, as an example, use the following line
server=eve.alasiya.net
save and close the file.

launch the game using bin/ExeFile.exe and NOT eve.exe

It's down for quite a while now. Seems like evemu.net domain has expired, so here goes the reve's wiki and backup irc server.

i've seen the domains have expired, and i have a watch on them thru my domain manager. i should be able to get them when they come free.
this is for all the evemu.* domains.
i use gork.levelbelow.net for irc, and have been on as long as my connection is active.
however, my isp has been upgrading lines in my area (i am quite rural, its a large area, and the shit out here is old), so my connection has been iffy lately.

at this time, i dont think there is anything else we can do, unless i put a subdomain on alasiya for evemu, but i havent had time to reformat the pages for a more web-friendly format.

now, if someone has time and knowledge to reformat for us, i'll be happy to host.

I've made a slack room for temporary use in case we cannot get an IRC server, however I need to invite people via email. Idk if PMing works on this forum, if so PM me your email and i'll invite you in or email me at azedizucow@gmail.com

Quick update:
Luckily, oza's mirror is still alive, so gork.levelbelow.net and irc.levelbelow.net are still up and running.

Cheers!
