Fleet Creation and Basic Administration
to create a fleet, rclick a pilot's name and select "form fleet with".
this pilot can be you or another.
this will create a fleet with you as the fleet commander.
the pilot creating the fleet will be listed as "fleet boss".
this role is for fleet administration and is separate from fleet commander, but can be same pilot.
if you create an advert, other pilots can find and join your fleet based on your fleet's advert settings.
these settings can be changed by the fleet boss after the advert is posted.
you can also invite members and, using the menu, assign specific positions on each invite.
if you fleet is small, you can move yourself to a squad.
moving fleet members is done thru the fleet window.
to verify boosting use `.fleetboost` command (details here http://eve.alasiya.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=218)
all fleet names can be changed.
this is usually done to help keep track of what each wing/squad is for.
different squads like this are usually for standing fleets in low or null sec systems.
you can view data on your fleet using the fleet menu
fleets will have their own main chat channel, which is created when fleet is created, and members are connected once they join (or are approved)
wings and squads can have their own (separate) channels, but are not created by default.
this is very general guide, and is by no means inclusive or complete.
